Birmingham Trade Unionists Lobby TUC Conference

On Sunday September the 7th a contingent of trade union activists from Birmingham traveled to the TUC conference to put pressure on the union leaders to ramp up the campaign of co-ordinated strike action against austerity and the Con-Dem government. Part of a lobby of over a hundred organised by the National Shop Stewards Network, a rally held opposite the conference venue heard from leading activists in the RMT, PCS, NUT, BFAWU, POA and NAPO trade unions, as well as from campaigns to support the Care UK strikers and blacklisted construction workers.
